Sweet Plantain (Saba) - PhP 30.00 / Kilogram;
Coconut (Nyog) - PhP 10.00 / Piece; and
Brown Sugar - PhP 22.00 / ¼ kilogram

Issues and Constraints

A negative factor affecting the people of Sampaloc is the rising inflation rate. Inflation refers to a general increase in the prices of goods and services over time. The cost of goods has been increasing over time, making it difficult for the local people of Sampaloc to afford the ingredients needed for Kinabisa na Saging.

Additionally, Ritzel explained that after typhoons, sourcing saba bananas becomes especially difficult. The heavy rains, strong winds, and potential flooding that accompany these storms often damage banana crops, reducing the available supply.
