PROCESS (FOOD PRODUCTION)
List the step by step process of food production
  • Peel the skin of the galyang and set it aside.
  • Find coconuts in the wilderness, then peel off the coconut husk.
  • Once peeled, slice in the middle; using a kudkuran, grate the inner part of the coconut.
  • In a bowl, add the shredded coconut, then add water.
  • Using your hands, extract the coconut cream, making sure to squeeze tightly to get the cream.
  • On a wooden chopping board, chop the galyang into pieces using an itak.
  • Once sliced, add the galyang and water in a stainless steel pot and boil until soft.
  • Once cooked, strain it, and put the galyang in a plastic sando bag on top of a wooden chopping board.
  • Next, use another wooden chopping board to pound the galyang until it softens, then set it aside.
  • On a tulyase, add the brown sugar and mix until melted.
  • Add the coconut cream and mix, then add another plastic container of brown sugar.
  • Once the mixture is boiling, add a whole can of evaporated milk and vanilla flavoring, then mix.
  • Once the mixture has turned dark brown, add the margarine.
  • Add the cooked galyang and mix evenly.
